Jack in the Box — Walking Dead Experience at Comic-Con
An immersive Walking Dead-themed photo booth activation for Jack in the Box at San Diego Comic-Con — zombie mannequins, themed props, instant prints, and over 2,000 participants.
Project Context
Overview
SD Photo Booth partnered with Jack in the Box to create a fully immersive Walking Dead-themed activation at San Diego Comic-Con. The goal was to give fans an interactive brand experience that felt authentic to the IP — not like a standard branded booth.
What We Built
Solution
The activation was built around the world of The Walking Dead from the ground up. Every detail — set design, props, lighting — was chosen to transport participants into the show's universe and create a shareable moment they'd want to post.
- Realistic set design with detailed props and backgrounds drawn directly from The Walking Dead aesthetic
- Interactive elements including zombie mannequins and fully themed props for guest immersion
- Instant high-quality prints for guests to take as keepsakes
- Social media sharing capabilities for immediate distribution of branded content
Campaign Impact
Results
- 2,000+ Participants: The booth drew massive foot traffic throughout the event — one of the most-visited brand activations on the floor
- Extensive Social Sharing: Branded photos were widely shared across social platforms, keeping the Jack in the Box and Walking Dead brands visible long after Comic-Con ended
- Standout Attendee Experience: Participants praised the immersive and interactive nature of the activation, calling it one of their favorite moments of the event
