Stone Brewing Liberty Station is one of the most versatile and characterful event venues in San Diego. Housed in a converted historic Naval Training Center building, the combination of exposed brick, soaring ceilings, and lush garden spaces gives you a lot to work with — and after 30 events here since 2012, we’ve learned exactly how to make the most of it.

The outdoor patio and garden areas are where we prefer to set up. The landscaping is genuinely beautiful — guests photograph well against the greenery, and the atmosphere feels festive without needing any additional décor. Power is accessible, the space is generous, and guests flow naturally through the outdoor areas between food and drinks.

Indoor events in the main bistro space work equally well. The 20-foot ceilings and dramatic interior lighting give photos a rich, editorial quality that you don’t get at more generic event spaces.

The one thing to plan for is parking. Liberty Station is a busy destination with multiple venues running events simultaneously, especially on weekend evenings. We always build in extra time to find a spot and get loaded in. Once you’re set up though, the venue runs smoothly and the staff are experienced with event vendors.

Stone Brewing is a particularly strong choice for corporate events and product launches — the brand environment is distinctive, the space can handle large crowds, and the outdoor activation potential is excellent.
